I have always been fascinated with exposing the interior spaces of things. I specialised in Blown Glass forms for my final major project at University, I wanted to create pieces with an inside space that I could erode into. Allowing discussions of the passage of time, evolution and our own mortality.
I began my journey into 3-D work at Wimbledon School of Art. I fell in love with its sculpting capabilities. Projects set by course tutors allowed for a lot of room for interpretation.
In 2011 I completed the Hot Glass Techniques Course at Bournemouth and Poole College. Here I developed my blown work further by looking more into creating a sculptural form within a functional piece.
