Description
The long-tailed tit, with its striking black and white plumage and impossibly long tail, is a beloved British garden bird known for its playful and sociable nature.
To capture the bird’s distinctive appearance, I carefully select and blend various colours of glass into thin rods. These are then shaped into the basic form of the head and body. With meticulous attention to detail, I apply additional glass rods to recreate the intricate feather patterns and lifelike facial features.
As each piece is handcrafted, subtle variations in size, shape, and colour create unique and charming sculptures. Measuring approximately 110mm long by 60mm tall, these glass long-tailed tits are a delightful celebration of this enchanting bird.
